League Coach Coordinators,
Please read all of this
carefully.
I know you all have been
patiently waiting for
information, as have I. Things
are a little different this year
as CYSA transforms itself into
Cal North. I strongly encourage
you to become familiar with the
new www.CalNorth.org website. (D
VI's website, www.d6soccer.org,
has NOT been updated yet.)
1. First of all, some of the
changes to the courses:
-
The F course has been
rewritten. It still costs
$650, but there is a STRICT
limit of 15 attendees.
-
There is a new Combo F/NSCAA
course. It costs MORE, but
attendees end up with TWO
licenses.
The way you register for
this course is DIFFERENT
too, due to the need to
report to NSCAA.
***Please note: This course
is listed FIRST on the
application form
-
Do not mistake it for the
original F course, which is
listed lower on the list.
2. Course Descriptions can be
found at:
www.calnorth.org Go to
Coaching, then to Course
Calendar (go figure), and you
will see the courses and their
descriptions. Course Calendar:
http://www.calnorth.org/coaching/courses/course_calendar/
3. Registration for all courses
(EXCEPT for the Combo course)
are handled the same way as in
the past. The Course Application
form can be found at: On the
main Cal North page, at the top
of the page, there is a little
yellow "splotch" to the right of
the words "California Youth
Soccer Association" - it is for
Forms and Documents. OR you can
scroll half-way down the main
page to the larger yellow box
that says "Document and Forms
Center".
Once here, in the "Filter by
Category" drop-down, enter
"Coaching Forms" and hit the
Search button. The NEW Coaching
Course Application form is
listed there.
http://www.calnorth.org/extranet/
(not sure if this link will take
you directly there, but the
above instructions work fine.)
4. CYSA is still CYSA, in spite
of the name Cal North.
Therefore, checks should still
be made out to CYSA.
