2011 District VI ODP Information

There are several changes that are being made to the District ODP program this year. The sole purpose of the district ODP is to identify players to be invited to the State tryouts.

There will be 2 open tryout days this year at the Cherry Island soccer complex in Sacramento. These tryouts are open to all players within the District VI boundaries. The cost for the tryout is $10.00 which covers the cost of the field usage.
If you are unable to attend one of the 2 tryouts and still would like to be considered to try out for the State ODP pool you must do one of the following: Contact the coach of your age group which is located on the ODP web site and ask them to attend a game or training session of yours to be evaluated by them. If they feel you have the skill level needed to participate at the State level you will invited to attend the State tryout. Contact your club or League coaching director and ask to be recommended as a player to attend the State tryout.

The ODP coaches will also be out at games and tournaments looking at players and inviting the top players they identify to attend the State tryout.
 
The State try outs are held one day in September, one day in October and 2 days in December.

There will not be training at the district level before the State tryouts as you do not go there as a team.
